I grew up in a small town in Northern California. I took a strong interest in the arts and music at a young age, but as I got older I delved into books and academics. I became too shy for stage performances and decided if I couldn't become an actor, I would be a diplomat and live all over the world. I speak four languages and love exploring culture, so this seemed like a wonderful career. But the acting bug was always with me. I decided after a 25 year hiatus to give it another try. People often ask me if I have regrets about starting acting later in life, and I have to say that I don't. I've been lucky to have an interesting life, full of adventures that most people don't have the opportunity to experience. I believe these unique experiences enrich my film, stage, and television performances.
